Users Groups

Foothold hosts monthly Users Groups on a variety of topics ranging from service provision types (homelessness, mental health, substance abuse), to implementation, to billing. The purpose of Users Groups is to bring AWARDS users together around a specific topic of interest in relation to the software and provide a forum for networking, information sharing, and problem solving. While Foothold provides a basic agenda for these meetings, the real content and direction comes from the participants who are asked to come prepared with questions and issues to share with fellow users.

Working Groups

All customization projects at Foothold Technology take place through Working Groups. The process involves a group of agencies in developing particular functionality in AWARDS working together and in conjunction with Foothold to determine the scope and depth of the changes. Foothold convenes Working Groups at our discretion in response to request from our client community.

One important aspect of the Working Group model is the presence of Foothold as an active member. Generally speaking, for most Working Groups, Foothold will have particular work that it wants to do in AWARDS. Foothold will present the work it wants to do, and it will participate financially as well. Foothold's own software development needs should be reflected in the final specification document.
